Why You Should Eat Dorper Lamb

Read below to find out more about the DORPER DIFFERENCE.

Dorper Lamb is a delicate meat, known for its superior taste. Unlike any other lamb, Dorper Lamb is a bit sweeter, with natural flavor and a mild aroma.

Dorper sheep are bred for their meat production, not wool. They are a breed of hair sheep, shedding their winter coats naturally, without having to be sheared. Because they are not wool producing sheep, they naturally have less lanolin in their bodies. This results in a sweet taste, compared to the “gamey” or “mutton” taste that other breeds have.

Aside from the savory, delectable taste, there are many other benefits to eating our Dorper Lamb. Composed of essential vitamins and minerals, healthy fats, and protein; Dorper Lamb is a great compliment to a healthy diet. With high levels of creatine, lamb helps preserve muscle mass, and support muscle growth. Lamb also contains healthy fats, including Omega-3. Lamb has more Omega-3 fatty acids than most land animals, giving your body an anti-inflammatory effect. The levels of iron contained in lamb are similar to that of other red meats, which can help combat iron deficiencies.

Basically, eating Dorper Lamb can improve your overall health and well being!
